Mindfulness Consulting offers transformative well-being coaching and consulting rooted in the latest scientific research and thousands of years of ancient wisdom for more ease, healing, and joy

Our Framework

So many of the wellness offerings on the market today are surface-level, “take deep breaths,” band-aid approaches to dangerous, rising levels of depression, anxiety, and loneliness in this country right now - especially among young people.

Serious problems require experienced, sophisticated, and systemic solutions.

Grounded in our framework, we utilize evidence-based wisdom and practices from ancient traditions in order to help individuals and collectives cultivate self-awareness, build resilient relationships, and create systemic cultures of well-being.

Yael Shy, Founder, CEO

Meditation changed my life when I was 19 years old and my anxiety had grown so out of control I was having 2-3 full-fledged panic attacks per week.  I never thought I could find a way out of my pain. That was until I discovered mindfulness, meditation, and therapy.

For the past 20 years, I have been supporting others to uncover their inherent worth and capacity for deep joy through mindfulness.

I wrote the award-winning book, What Now? Meditation for Your Twenties and Beyond (Parallax, 2017) and teach at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. I founded Mindful NYU, the largest campus-based meditation program in the country, and have served as the Chief Mindfulness Consultant for Procter and Gamble. My work has been featured on networks like Good Morning America, CBS News, and Fox 5 News, and in publications such as Time Magazine, Real Simple, and the Harvard Business Review. I’m also a regular contributor to the Ten Percent Happier and Roundglass apps.
